The Muslim American Public Affairs Council (MAPAC) wishes to invite all of those interested to a meet and greet with Dr. Naveed Aziz, MD, who is running for North Carolina State Senate. Dr. Aziz would be only the second Muslim elected to the NC Legislature, and the first Muslim woman to serve in the legislature, if successful in her candidacy.

Dr. Aziz is originally from Pakistan and immigrated to the United States more than twenty years ago. A mother, wife, physician, small business owner, and active member of her community, Dr. Aziz has extensive public service experience including serving on the Boards of Fayetteville Urban Ministries and Second Harvest Food Bank, Chairing of the Greater Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce and serving on the Spring Lake’s Economic Development Committee. Dr. Aziz, in addition to being a physician, has a dual Masters in Business Administration and Health Administration.
